Tiny Light Farm

I remember when I was in my last year of high school saying to myself I want to live somewhere in the middle of Montana. Well as they say life happens, I started working in retail at HomeBase in my senior year of high school. At the age of 20, I started working in finance for a car company. One day after work, I saw an ad on the computer to become a dog walker and make up to 20 dollars an hour. I left my 9 to 5 job with great benefits to start my own dog walking business after seven years of dressing up and wearing a tie just to sit in a rat maze of cubicles in front of a computer located in a part of the building with no windows (only skylights above) and hundreds of fluorescent light bulbs.

To cut down on my bills and overhead while I started getting clients, I sold my 600 sq. foot condo and moved back home. Now that it's been over ten years I want a place to call my own again. Over the years, I have been a big fan of HGTV and DIY channels watching all their shows, that's when the Tiny House Nation, Tiny House Hunters, and all the others caught my eye and got me thinking about the Tiny House Lifestyle.

I'm sure I could build or buy a tiny house and find a place to park it in someone's backyard or on a small piece of land and grow old. But no, I want to do something bigger than just me, and this brings me back to somewhere in the middle of Montana. I would love to start a tiny house community on a farm. Yes, with crops (growing food) and livestock, chickens (for eggs), goats and even honey bees and more. But before I can start the Tiny Light Farm, I need to raise funds to start building my tiny house and look for land to buy in Montana with zoning laws allowing multiple tiny houses.

With that being said, it might take me years to complete, so I'm not asking for just money donations. I want to build and sell items to help raise the funds I will need to start. But of course, I will also have a donation button if you don't want to buy the items for sale but still want to help and be a part of the Tiny Light Farm Community. There will be some rewards for donation levels. I'll be posting updates and more info as we go on twitter, facebook and here (tinybylogan.com) website. If you have any questions, feedback or you just want to talk “tiny”, please feel free to send me an email. I would like to thank you in advance for making my dream of starting the Tiny Light Farm come true and for helping me reach my funding goal. Every bit counts and helps if you donate $1.00, buy something and or share.
